Winners are recognized and honored among the nation’s leading high tech innovators dedicated to protecting America’s security at the American Security Challenge event, which in 2008 was held June 5 at The Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington D.C. The Challenge is held in conjunction with the 2008 Homeland Security S&T Stakeholders Conference East, presented by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) with subject matter support provided by the Science & Technology Directorate (S&T) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security June 2-5, 2008.

The American Security Challenge has awarded the 2008 Patriot Award to first Secretary and founder of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security... The Honorable Tom Ridge!
